Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cooperage equipment; this includes completing preventative maintenance tasks, assisting the operators with breakdowns and new installations as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and variable frequency drives (VFD)
Ability to install, troubleshoot and maintain conduit wire, motors and electrical equipment on 240-volt, 3 phase and 440-volt systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery, utilizing your strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Identify and resolve PLC-related problems, utilizing your PLC troubleshooting skills
- Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
